The World of Havana Rabbits!
In 2018, our family dove deep into a new breed of rabbits - the mink of the rabbit breeds - The Havana! Daughter Joelle's heart was broken after the loss of her beloved Holland Lop Pat; while she wanted to continue with showing and raising rabbits, she just couldn't continue with Holland Lops. We left it up to her to investigate rabbit breeds and find her own direction, her path led to the Havana rabbit and there was no changing her mind! We started with our first buck, Morris, and now her rabbitry has expanded to include many Havanas! We are having a great time with this friendly, inquisitive, beautiful breed.
The Havana is a breed of rabbit that first appeared in the Netherlands in 1898. Havanas are recognized by the American Rabbit Breeders Association in five color types: chocolate, lilac, black, blue, and broken.
